Terms of Service

Last updated June 27, 2026 · Effective June 27, 2026

These Terms govern your use of the RoveDesk apps for macOS, iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. By downloading or using RoveDesk, you agree to them.

Contents

1. Acceptance of these terms

By installing or using RoveDesk you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the apps.

2. License

RoveDesk grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the apps on Apple-branded devices you own or control. This license is subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and the standard Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) that applies to apps obtained from the App Store.

3. No account required

RoveDesk does not require an account. You are responsible for the security of the devices you pair, and for keeping your pairing codes and trusted-device list under your control.

4. Acceptable use

You may use RoveDesk only to control Mac computers and devices that you own or are explicitly authorized to access. You agree not to:

5. Permissions and your responsibility

RoveDesk relies on macOS permissions — Screen Recording, Accessibility, Input Monitoring, Local Network, and Terminal access — that you grant. You are responsible for managing these permissions, your trusted-device list, and the physical and network security of your devices.

6. Availability and connectivity

RoveDesk connects devices over your local network and does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Connection quality depends on your network and devices. Some capabilities may be offered as beta or experimental features and may change or be removed.

7. Third-party and open-source software

RoveDesk may include third-party or open-source components, which remain subject to their own licenses. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under those licenses.

8. Disclaimers

RoveDesk is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RoveDesk and its makers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the apps.

10. Termination

You may stop using RoveDesk at any time by removing trusted devices and uninstalling the apps. We may suspend or end the apps or features where required by law or to protect users.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your principal place of residence, except where superseded by the Apple App Store and Apple Media Services Terms.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
